This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to remove the year 2002 from their website, where it incorrectly displayed as 2002-2024 instead of just 2024.
Solution:
We located the string using the 'Look for strings while pages are rendered' option in WPML > String Translation. The string was found under the domain 'Widgets' with the name 'widget body'. We made the necessary adjustment to display only the year 2024. If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend trying these steps to adjust the string as needed.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket.

Hello there,

Can you please try the following procedure to see if you can locate and translate that string inside WPML > String Translation?

- Please go to WPML -> String Translation and enable the option "Look for strings while pages are rendered"
- Visit the page in which the text is located
- Go back to the String Translation and refresh the page
- Search for it and check if you'll be able to locate the string now
- Please don't forget to uncheck the option "Look for strings while pages are rendered" once you're done).
- Translate the strings and see if it gets the issue fixed

If it doesn't work, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take better look at the issue. You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Our Debugging Procedures

I will be checking various settings in the backend to see if the issue can be resolved. Although I won't be making changes that affect the live site, it is still good practice to backup the site before providing us access. In the event that we do need to debug the site further, I will duplicate the site and work in a separate, local development environment to avoid affecting the live site.

Privacy and Security Policy

We have strict policies regarding privacy and access to your information. Please see:

**IMPORTANT**

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this: hidden link

Please, let me know if you need any additional details. Have a nice day.

Hello there,

I was able to locate that string using the option 'Look for strings while pages are rendered' in WPML > String Translation.

After doing that, the string is available under the domain 'Widgets' with the name 'widget body' please check the screenshot or use this URL to see it:

I already made the adjustment for you, feel free to edit it if needed.

Thank you, please let us know.

Thanks. I will try to correct the live site the same way once I get it registered with WPML credits.
