This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing an issue where valid published pages on your WordPress site are randomly redirecting to the homepage instead of opening normally. This occurs even though the pages exist, are published, and have correct URLs. The issue disappears when WPML is disabled, suggesting that WPML's language routing or redirect logic might be interfering with WordPress page resolution.
Solution:
First, we need to understand your site's configuration better to address the redirection issue effectively. Please provide examples where this issue is visible. Additionally, if you have any custom rewrite rules, share those details with us. This information will help us diagnose the problem more accurately. You can retrieve and send us your site's debug information by following the instructions here: http://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/.

If the provided solution becomes irrelevant due to updates or does not apply to your case, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket for further assistance at WPML support forum.

Hello WPML Support Team,

I am experiencing a critical issue after installing WPML.

On my WordPress site, valid published pages randomly redirect to the homepage instead of opening normally. This happens even when:

- The page exists and is published
- The page contains simple content or a shortcode
- The page URL is correct

WPML silently redirects these pages to the homepage without any error message, which makes debugging extremely difficult and breaks normal WordPress behavior. A standard expectation is: if a page exists, it should open.

I have spent many hours trying to work around this issue and confirmed that the problem disappears when WPML is disabled. This indicates that WPML language routing / redirect logic is overriding WordPress page resolution in an unsafe way.

This behavior makes it very hard to build custom pages (e.g. promotions, auctions, landing pages) and is unacceptable for a production site.

Please advise:

1. Why WPML redirects valid pages to the homepage
2. How to completely disable this behavior for specific pages
3. Or confirm whether this is a known issue

If this behavior cannot be reliably controlled, I will have to request a refund, as WPML currently breaks core WordPress functionality on my site.

Thank you
