This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to import listings to a staging site using WP All Import and WPML. The process works well for the English version, but issues arise with images not being attached to listings in other languages when translated automatically by WPML. The client wants to use the same image across all languages without translations. The current settings are: Gallery is set to copy, and Media is set to not translatable, which causes the media translation settings not to appear on the Settings page.
Solution:
We recommend setting Media to translatable to ensure images are properly attached to listings in all languages. After importing the listings in the default language, the client should edit the post and ensure that the 'duplicate image' option is checked under the Media attachment section in the sidebar. Additionally, it's important to verify that both duplicate options are checked in WPML > Settings > Media. This configuration doesn't create new files but makes database entries to link images across languages.

If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I am trying to import listings to a staging site using WP All Import and WPML. The process works well for the English version, but I am facing issues with images not being attached to listings in other languages when translated automatically by WPML. I want to use the same image with no translations across all languages. My current settings are: Gallery is set to copy, and Media is set to not translatable. With this configuration, the media translation settings do not show up in the Settings page.

Symptoms:
Images do not get cloned or attached to listings in other languages. Only one image is imported, and it is not the featured image.

Questions:
What is the correct setting for these sections?
What should I do to solve this issue?

Hello,

My current settings are: Gallery is set to copy, and Media is set to not translatable. With this configuration, the media translation settings do not show up in the Settings page.

That is not the correct setting and will not work correctly. WPML needs to create images also in 2nd language for them to be able to show in 2nd language, this does not create files but only DB entries. I would not advise changing default settings.

Once you have changed settings for Media, edit your default language page and make sure in the sidebar under Media attachment checkbox to duplicate image is set. Resave your page and related images should also be copied to your 2nd language. In short images need to exist in that language for them to work and show correctly.

Drazen

Ok, what is the default setting then? You told me it won't work, but didn't mention what should is the correct setting 🙂 on top of fthat there is no way I can check the settings in the sidebar because I am importing listings via excel as I mentioned, so not manually. This process need to work via bulk import

Hello,

I am not sure if anything else you have changed, but the Media should be set to translatable.

As for settings, I meant once they are imported in default language, then edit the post and just check. You should also check WPML > Settings > Media and make sure both duplicate options are checked: hidden link

Let me know how it goes.
