Background of the issue:
I’m experiencing a minor issue on my website. My default language is French, and my secondary language is English. Visitors can switch from French to English using the language switcher. However, when a visitor is on the English version of the site and logs in, they are successfully logged in but are automatically redirected to the French version. They then have to switch back to English using the language switcher. Same thing happens when a user log out.

Symptoms:
When a visitor is on the English version of the site and logs in, they are successfully logged in but are automatically redirected to the French version. They then have to switch back to English using the language switcher. Same thing happens when a user log out.

Questions:
How can I make it so that when a user logs into (or log out) their account in English, they stay on the English version of the website?

Hello,

The login in page is customized, can you please elaborate how you did it? Is it from the theme or other plugin allowed you to modify it? Does it have the option to define to which page redirect after login? Maybe we need to set it and "translate" the option:
https://wpml.org/documentation/support/language-configuration-files/translate-strings-in-wp-options-table/

Best Regards,
Otto
