[Resolved] Need to save permalinks everytime

Hi there,

Would you please give me the steps that cause the issue? You mentioned, that you need to re-save the permalinks every time. Every time after what?

I need to know the steps and more details.

As a general rule of thumb I want you to do the troubleshooting steps below:

1. Check for a possible plugin conflict.

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Go to "WordPress Dashboard > Plugins" and deactivate all plugins except WPML and its add-ons.
- Check if you can still recreate the issue.
- If not, re-activate your plugins one by one and check the issue each time to find out the plugin that causes the problem.

2. Check for a possible theme conflict (If the theme has some redirects going on, I am not sure, but worths the test)

- IMPORTANT STEP! Create a backup of your website.
- Switch to the default theme such as "TwentyTwenty" by going to "WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > themes".
- See if the issue is fixed.

3. Reset .htaccess file

Access your website files and make a backup of the contents of the .htaccess file. After that change it to contain the default WordPress .htacccess content below and see if it fixes the issue:

I checked the Photography Categories widget and clicked on random links and they worked fine, maybe because you have already resaved the permalinks settings.

Please let me know how did you add this widget?

Is that a feature within your theme or is it being added by a third-party plugin?

Thank you for sharing the solution. From what I understand the issue is fixed and the workaround was to make sure the Yoast and Yoast Premium plugins are up to ate.
