we are currently experiencing problems with the translation for English not being recognized when making adjustments to an Elemetnor page in German. The following workaround helps: I add spaces or letters until WPML recognizes a change, so that I can translate the language for DE. However, this is not practical and very annoying.
The gear icon indicates the translation is in progress. Please test these steps and let me know if it resolves it on the translations.
1. Go to WPML -> Translation Dashboard-> Translation Jobs and cancel the in progress job. If there is no in progress job, continue to the next steps.
2. Edit the default page. Make any small change and update the page.
3. Go to WPML -> Translation Dashboard and send this page to translationt. Tick the checkbox, scroll down and click translate.
4. Go to WPML -> Translations and take and translate the page. Save the translation 100% and then let's see if the correct content shows.
Hello, unfortunately that didn't help either, and I can't really see a pattern as to when it works and when it doesn't. Could you possibly try it in our DEV system?
I will be happy to test this in your development site. Please share credentials in the next reply using the private fields so that the information remains secure. Also, please tell me specifically which content you have tested - a specific sentence or part of the content - and on which post/page/form you are testing so that I can check both the backend and the frontend.
And here again, using a recent example for the "Starlink Energiekoffer" page hidden link
Here, I added “Change” to the image (see attachment), but it still doesn't recognize the change for the languages. Feel free to change this and test it thoroughly.
May I have your permission to install the WPML Multilingual Tools plugin? I'd like to check to see if these Elementor widgets are correctly registered for translation. Also, please update your Elementor plugins to the latest versions.
I think I was able to figure it out. I added the custom XML in WPML -> SEttings -> Custom XML. I then updated the original page and after that, I was able to see the new title "Energiekoffer für Starlink Flat High Performance Kit Change" in the advaned translation editor. I also tested translating it and I can see the translation on the frontend here: hidden link
Please feel free to test a few pages/posts and let me know if you are still having problems and I can check to see if there are any widgets that need to be added to the custom XML configuration.
