This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues with the WPML Advanced Translation Editor on your site built with Elementor Pro. Specifically, translations revert to the default language, do not mark as completed after saving, and switching the language on the homepage redirects back to the default language.
Solution:
We have implemented a fix that should resolve the issue where translations were not being marked as completed. To ensure this fix is applied to your site, please navigate to WPML -> Support -> Troubleshooting in your WordPress dashboard and click the button to synchronize translation jobs. This action should help finalize any translations that were previously stuck.

If you continue to face issues or if the problem recurs, it might be due to reasons that have become outdated or are specific to your site's configuration. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If these steps do not resolve your issue, please open a new support ticket so we can assist you further.

Background of the issue:
I'm trying to finalize translations on my site hidden link using WPML with the Advanced Translation Editor. I'm doing manual translations without third-party translators or AI translation credits. We're using Elementor Pro as the website builder.

Symptoms:
When using the Advanced Translation Editor, translations sometimes revert to the default language, but appear correct after reopening the editor. Additionally, after translating everything to 100% and clicking 'Save and complete', it doesn't mark as completed. Switching the language on the homepage redirects back to the default language.

Questions:
Why do translations revert to the default language in the Advanced Translation Editor?
Why doesn't the translation mark as completed after clicking 'Save and complete'?
Why does switching the language on the homepage redirect back to the default language?
Where can I find the 'translation basket' as mentioned in the documentation?

Please check and see if you are now able to complete the translation that was previously stuck in progress. We have deployed a fix that should have redelivered the translation, however in some cases it may require you to go to WPML -> SUpport -> Troubleshooting and click the button to synchronize translation jobs.

Please let me know if you are still having trouble and if so, we will be happy to investigate further.
