[Resolved] Maps Marker Pro maps not showing translations
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are trying to translate Maps Marker Pro maps and markers, but they are showing partially translated and partially in the original language, despite being fully translated in the backend. Solution: 1. Go to WPML-> String Translation and search for the destination URLs to ensure they are correctly translated. 2. If the issue persists, update the marker URL, clear the WPML and site cache, and then regenerate the MO files from WPML-> Support-> Troubleshooting.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket at our support forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
I understand, but if the issue is a compatibility issue, we need to isolate the issue on a fresh installation.
If the issue didn't happen on the fresh installation, I'd ask for access details to your site to debug the issue on your site and consult our 2nd tier support team if needed.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Yes, Buzet URL is now correct accross all the languages.
However, incorrect url was not the problem, the problem was that the map would always show markers in orginial language (English). That is why I never had a chance to discover incorrect URL in the Buzet marker.
However, Map now works as expected and all the markers are showing translated version when languages are switched.
That is a good news, and I want to know how did you fix it so that I can do that if it ever happens again. Updating 1 marker incorrect URL does not sould like fix that would fix overall problem, unless I am missing something.
