Background of the issue:
I am trying to fix an issue with the mega menu on my website. The problem started when a modification in the blog menu wasn't displaying correctly for non-logged-in users. I deleted the 'Blog' menu, replaced it with a new one, and translated it. Now, none of the mega menus appear on the website in the secondary language. I have synchronized the menus using WP Menus Sync, but the synchronization button now shows 'Nothing Sync.' Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link
Symptoms:
The mega menu modifications are not visible to non-logged-in users. After replacing and translating the 'Blog' menu, none of the mega menus appear in the secondary language. The WP Menus Sync shows 'Nothing Sync.'
Questions:
Why are the mega menus not appearing in the secondary language after translation?
Why does the WP Menus Sync show 'Nothing Sync'?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Before proceeding with the steps you mentioned, I want to let you know that I am currently facing an issue with Elementor. After updating WPML and then Elementor, as instructed in an email, the Elementor editor has stopped working. I have already opened another ticket regarding this issue.
Once the problem with Elementor is resolved, I will proceed to follow the steps you provided and grant you access to investigate the issue further.
Thank you for your understanding, and I will get back to you as soon as this is resolved.
I’m following up regarding the issue with the mega menu on my website that I shared previously. To provide more context:
My staging site currently has 10 plugins pending updates. I haven’t updated them yet because I know they will cause the same issues I recently resolved on my live site. I will update them eventually, but I cannot do so at the moment due to time constraints.
On the staging site, I made a modification to the 'Blog' mega menu through the theme builder and updated its translation. Unfortunately, the changes are not reflected on the front end.
On the live site, the mega menu does not appear at all in the secondary language.
I also want to clarify that the updates to WPML and other plugins do not seem to have affected this specific issue.
Would you like access to both the staging and live sites to investigate further? This way, you can see the differences and better understand the issue I’m describing.
Please let me know if you require access or additional information.
Thanks for the access details. Please check the following steps to fix the mega menu issue on the live site:
1- Go to Appearance-> Menus
2- Switch the language to Catalan
3- Select the hidden link">Main Menu
4- Edit the menu items to select the Elementor Block
5- Save the menu
After that, please clear the site's coach and check the menu on the hidden link">front end.
