This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client installed the WPML plugin and encountered issues where the Menu Items were not displaying in the Admin Menus area, although they were visible on the Front End. The client had previously experienced similar issues with posts and pages disappearing when WPML was enabled, which were resolved by the support team. The client sought a complete removal and reinstallation of WPML to address the recurring issues.
Solution:
We recommended a complete reset of the WPML plugin to ensure all settings and data associated with WPML were fully cleared before a fresh installation. This process involves:
1. Creating a full backup of the website.
2. Following the steps outlined in our documentation to reset WPML, which can be found here: Deleting Languages and Plugin Data by Doing a WPML Reset.
3. After confirming the removal of all WPML data from the database, reinstalling WPML by downloading the latest version from here, and then uploading and activating it through the website's backend.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please open a new support ticket.

Hi there, I would like to kindly request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site in order to thoroughly examine the issue. The necessary fields can be found below the comment area. When you log in to leave your next reply, please be assured that the information you enter is private and will only be visible to you and me. Our Debugging Procedures I will thoroughly review various settings in the backend to determine if the issue can be resolved. Hi Thanks for the option to providing this. Actually, from the day One I installed WPML I am facing issues. First time when I installed it was not at all loading Languages and again when I connected to the team, manually downloaded languages and uploaded to the table. then Language choose option came up, later all the pages gone, again connected to support team they made it to bring it back, after wards I imported and exported posts into the site again it created an issues in creating exact replica what I had the posts and categories, I disabled the plugin and imported all the posts then it worked perfectly. Now it is with the menu, I am ok to delete the plugin and to proceed for fresh installation without any issues I want the plugin to work. But when I deactivate it keeps all old files, tables it stays like junk also. Kindly help in this regard, we are planning to go live in 3 days and we need to import languages too. Please help in this regard. |

Hi there, As you've suggested, it could indeed be a good solution. It seems that something might have gone wrong during the initial installation of WPML. To fully reset WPML, you will need to follow a specific set of steps: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/language-setup/deleting-languages-and-plugin-data-by-doing-a-wpml-reset-on-your-site/. This ensures that all records and content are properly removed. I highly recommend creating a complete backup of your website first, just to be on the safe side. Please let me know how things turn out and if you discover anything new. I look forward to your response. Mihai |

Hi there, and thank you so much for your patience. Sorry for the delayed response - it's been some very full days, and it took us a bit longer to get back to customers. We also have fewer people available on the weekends. But things should move faster from now on. Regarding the first question, unfortunately, we cannot install/uninstall plugins on the customer's website for multiple reasons, including privacy and risks that things might break due to compatibility or server-related issues. We try to have as much documentation available as possible, and we are happy to guide people along the way. The best advice I can share here is to make sure that you create a full website backup before you need to take action on the site that you might not be 100% sure about. Regarding the second reply, to remove WPML in full, the steps from here need to be followed: Deleting plugin files or deactivating and deleting the plugin will not remove data from the database. That's why we have documentation that shows you how to remove the language data and then remove the plugin. I am unsure if you could follow all the steps in the documentation. Please let me know. |

Hi there. If you followed the steps in the documentation and removed all the WPML data from the database, too, then yes, you can download WPML again and install it on your site. You can download it from here (https://wpml.org/download/wpml-multilingual-cms/?section=changelog) > then go to your site's backend > Plugin > Add new > Upload > select the zip file that you downloaded > upload it and install + activate WPML. |
