Background of the issue:
We currently have an old language hidden. This should be deleted, as it uses a lot of space for images and content.
Symptoms:
When removing the language it takes a long time. When it's removed we're seeing that some random images and ACF fields are being deleted in other languages. It's not a specific thing or field, it's always something different.
Questions:
Why does removing a hidden language take a long time?
Why are random images and ACF fields being deleted in other languages when a hidden language is removed?
How can we fix the issue of random deletions when removing a hidden language?

Could you please name me an example on which I can see the issue on your site?
Could it be that there were some contents that originally were created in Dutch?
This would mean, you create a post or page in Durch, then translate it into other languages. At this point, the original media file would be the Dutch version.
Will will sync the media from the original content source language to the contents in second languages and use the same file in all languages.
If you now remove an original media file, it will affect the connection for this file in all languages.
You can sync the media at WPML > Settings > Media Translation > Start.
This will create the necessary media entries for all languages inside the media library of WordPress but it will depend on the original media file.
If the original media file was removed, then WPML will not be able to sync it.
