This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client reported multiple issues after noticing an error about the site not meeting WPML's minimum requirements, which later disappeared without any action taken by the client. The issues included mismatches in product counts across categories, the price filter not being visible or functioning correctly across different languages and views, and untranslated address information in the footer.
Solution:
We examined the mismatch in product counts within categories. It was found that the content and products were initially created in English and then translated, with English being the default language. The primary issue was with the products in the default language not being assigned to the correct categories. We recommend the client to review all products in the default language to ensure they are correctly categorized. This should be done with WPML disabled to confirm that the setup works independently of WPML. Once verified, WPML can be re-enabled to check if the translation issues persist. If problems continue, we advise opening a new support ticket.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If issues persist, please do not hesitate to contact us by opening a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Hello,

We are a little bit worried to do the updates now not to break the website even more without knowing how to go back then.

We saw an error saying that our site does not meet the minimum requirements for WPML. But now cannot see this error. We did not do anything to fix it.

There are many mismatches between number of products included in categories. In some categories, it is just one or a few items not showing up. In others, the difference is a lot. Tried to screenshot a couple of them. Products themselves seem to be translated fine.

Price filter also is not visible on Lithuanian version, but works on English version - on desktop. But it is the opposite on mobile view: works on Lithuanian version, but not English.

Also, not sure why address info in the footer is not translated in Lithuanian version. Not sure where to check.

So quite a few random errors.

Thank you for your help

Hello,

I’ve checked the mismatch in product counts within categories in more detail.

It appears that your content and products were originally created in English and then translated, meaning English is the default language. The issue seems to be with the English (default) products, not with the translated versions.

For example, if you look at one of the missing products, Sterling Silver Bracelet With Pearls, you’ll notice it is not assigned to the correct categories. This indicates that the category setup in the default language is incomplete.

I recommend reviewing all products in the default language to ensure they have the correct categories assigned and that everything works properly even without WPML active. After that, re-enable WPML, and if the translations still show any issues, please let us know.

Regards,
Drazen
