I am trying to translate in French the Cookie policy that Complianz generated, but nothing seems to work. Only a few snippets are in French. I can only translate the page title. Can you please help me?
My understanding of how the Complianz plugin works with respect to a privacy policy page like that is that it populates a normal WordPress page with the content, so that you should then be able to translate that page just like any other page.
Is that not the experience you have?
In which case could I get access to your site to check how it is set up?
Let me mark your next reply as private so that I can get log-in credentials from you—you may want to create a temporary admin user for me to use that you can later delete. And be sure to have a current backup of your site.
I had misunderstood how the plugin works (I'm not familiar with it), it dynamically generates the cookie page content every time it is loaded rather than inserting the text into the page one time.
So I checked the Complianz documentation (hidden link) where it seems you need to go to Dashboard > Updates to ensure the translations of the plugin texts are downloaded.
Having done that it looks like it is working correctly now.
