Background of the issue:
I am trying to update my original product in WooCommerce and then re-translate it using WPML. After the latest WPML/WooCommerce Multilingual update, I noticed that translated products become corrupted. The issue only affects the translated versions, while the original language product remains intact. You can see the issue on this page: hidden link

Symptoms:
Product attributes are duplicated in the translations. Variations break or behave inconsistently. The product design/layout sometimes breaks on translated versions. This happens consistently after updating the original product and sending it through translation again. I expected to see the same amount of variants as for the English product, but instead, I got duplicate variants.

Questions:
Why are product attributes duplicated in the translated versions?
How can I prevent variations from breaking after re-translating a product?

Hi Eric,

Please review the following errata documentation.

https://wpml.org/errata/manually-editing-translated-variable-products-loses-variations/

Try the workaround listed, and let me know your results.

Thanks! That seems to solve that problem.
It was getting very frustrating.

Will this also fix the problem with broken CSS after translating (Pages and products) - please see attached picture. I have to redo the translation multiple of time before it bites. This could happen before but not as often like this.

Also happens with the products which I guess then triggers the faulty variants. Was working fine until updating WooCommerce and WPML. Attached picture show how it looks if you enter the WordPress Editor after translation with the Advanced Translation Tool.

I am using Stackable as the major Gutenberg builder.

So when translating a product for example, the products variants gets double but when editing and recover i WordPress Editor the product seems to go back to normal (after your PHP-fix)

Thank you for the video!

Just to verify are these issues resolved with the fix provided or is something still happening even after the workaround?

No sorry the workaround only fixed the problem with attributes went missing when try to edit. But the problem you see in the videos still exists.

Site works fine in EN (original) - but not so good in the WPML translated versions.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.
The information you enter is private which means only you and I have access to it.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
Bobby
