This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues with ATE translations not completing, and those that do complete take many hours. The error log indicates an 'AMS Server Communication Api error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website.' Additionally, there is a concern about a base64-encoded data URI within an image source attribute that might not be intentional.
Solution:
First, ensure that your site is correctly registered with WPML and that your subscription for automatic translation credits is active, as these are prerequisites for the Advanced Translation Editor to function properly. If these are in order, the next step is to investigate the specific content causing the issue. In your case, there is an unusually large base64-encoded image URL within the content, which might be affecting the translation process. We recommend removing or replacing this image to see if it resolves the translation delays and errors. If the problem persists or if the solution provided here becomes outdated, please check the related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If necessary, do not hesitate to open a new support ticket.

Background of the issue:
Hello,

I am having trouble with ATE translations. I have multiple jobs that will not finish. The ones that do are only coming through after many hours. The amount of jobs <100 so nothing weird.

I tried to clean op de WPML database, canceling in progress jobs, resetting the professional translations state etc. But this does not solve the problem. Also it does not completely delete in-progress jobs.

In the error log it states: AMS Server Communication Api error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website: AMS Server Communication Api error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website.

This is also a bit questionable because some of the jobs do come through.

please advice

Symptoms:
Translation jobs are not finishing, and completed jobs take many hours. The error log shows: 'AMS Server Communication Api error missing resource: No sitekey found for this website.'

Questions:
Why are my ATE translation jobs not finishing?
What does the error 'No sitekey found for this website' mean and how can I resolve it?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out!

According to what I see on the system, it seems like you did not create a new site key when moving the site between the dev environment and the live site.

Please go to WPML > Support > Installer Support and click "Check now". Do you see any issues regarding API connections or the wpml.org site key?

WPML must be re-registered after each website migration or after changing the domain or domain provider.

1) Go to https://wpml.org/account/websites/

2) If the site URL is already registered, delete it from the list.

3) Re-enter the site URL. This will create a new site key.

4) Click "Show key" and copy it.

5) Enter the key under Plugins > Install > Commercial (tab) to re-register WPML. If WPML is still registered there, de-register it first.

If the problem persists, please let me know.

Best regards
Andreas

Hello,

My apologies for the delay in answering, as I work from Tuesdays to Saturdays.

I would like to offer to take a closer look and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate the issue further.

Note that I will not make any major changes to your site. I only need access to confirm the settings and obtain detailed information about the failing jobs. I might need to install a File Manager plugin to take a look at the wp-config.php file in case you can not provide FTP/SFTP access. If I suspect that the job fails due to PHP or JS errors, I might need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to take a local copy of your site and debug the issue.

The required fields to provide access are located below the comments section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up your website and database before granting us access.
If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and website credentials will be set to "PUBLIC." DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

The private reply form looks like this:

In case I can not find a quick solution for the issue, I will be escalating the issue today to our second-tier support so that we can fix this problem as fast as possible for you.

Best regards,
Andreas

By the way. The strange thing is that most of the time the ATE is working when I am correcting a post.

Thank you for providing access!

Note that before escalating an issue, I need to rule out whether we handle a config issue or if the issue is content-related. It looks like the site is registered correclty and the Advanced Translation Editor and subscription for automatic translation credits are working as expected.

When connecting to your site, I currently see only 10 jobs in progress for the same post of the type "Educational".

I have one question here:

There is an image inside this original content with a source attribute that looks like it has a base64-encoded data URI of 629978 characters.

It does not look as if you placed this image URL like this on purpose, as on the original content, no image is showing up right over "Are the effects of carcinogens visible immediately?":

Hi Andreas,

Oké I learned something new (again)... Never came to mind this could be a problem.

I took the images out to test. It seems translations are running again. This also explains why the ATE is working and this failed.

I just need to fix the images.

Thanks
