Background of the issue:
I am trying to ensure that URLs in the text on many pages in Dutch point to the correct anchor links without affecting the translation. For example, on the page hidden link, clicking on the button in a text 'tarief' should point to hidden link. However, it is currently pointing to an image URL instead. This issue has occurred before and was resolved. when I open the translation editor the url are gone?

Symptoms:
URLs in text are incorrectly pointing to an image URL (hidden link) instead of the intended anchor link (hidden link).

Questions:
Why are URLs in the text pointing to an image instead of the correct anchor link?
How can I prevent URLs from changing to image links in the future?

Hi,

Welcome to WPML support. Would you please go to WordPress Dashboard > Media Library and find a media file called info and rename it to something else?

Or change the slug of the page to something else other than info.

Having the same name for the page and image seems to be the culprit.

Thanks.

I did solve the problem manually for all pages. But in the future I hope this is not coming back. So if you have an explication I like to hear it to avoid after update the same issue.

Thanks, greetings, Sonja

Hi Sonja,

I am glad that you managed to fix the issue.

In general, WordPress does its best to guess the best permalink structure but if there are media that have the same name with the pages this happens.

You will need to make sure that the name of the images would not conflict with the name of the pages.

Thanks,
