This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You have many posts with incorrect internal linking, and attempts to update these links either result in an error or no change. You are unable to use Automatic Translation Editor (ATE) due to having over 800 pages with this issue.
Solution:
We have identified that your site is running on PHP 8.5.2, which is not currently supported by WPML. We recommend downgrading your PHP version to PHP 8.3. After doing so, please go to WPML → Settings → Update Internal Links, and click on 'Scan Now' to update the links.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket.

I have bunch of the posts that has wrong internal linking. However, every time when I do Update internal links either error appears or nothing changes. I have tried to make small changes to all posts and then do automatic translation. I cannot use ATE because I have more that 800 pages with wrong linking.

Our 2nd tier team has reviewed the issue and found that your site is currently running on PHP 8.5.2, which is not yet supported by WPML. They recommend downgrading your PHP version to PHP 8.3.

After downgrading, please navigate to WPML → Settings → Update Internal Links, then run Scan Now and update the links.

Please let me know if this resolves the issue.
