US as second language variant

nicolaH-6	We have a two language website - UK English as the default and US English as the secondary. The client has asked if the url can just say /us/ in the url rather than /en-us/. Is this possible

nicolaH-6	There's been quite a lot of work done on the site and I really don't want to have to create a new language for accomplish this. If there isn't a way to do this in the WPML interface is there a way to do this through the database perhaps?

I’ve reviewed your request, and unfortunately, it isn’t possible to change the language code directly. As an alternative, you can add a new language using your preferred language code and then bulk-duplicate the existing content into that new language.
