This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where the automatic translation process via WPML is stuck, showing 0/xx pages and continuously spinning without completing. The process does not complete even after attempting to cancel and restart the translation jobs.
Solution:
1. We checked the connection key between the client's website and our ATE server and fixed an issue. We recommend the client to try re-translating the pages later in the day.
2. We advised the client to disable object caching and security plugins temporarily while performing translations to avoid interference with the process. After completing the translations, these can be re-enabled.
3. If the problem persists, it might be due to ongoing issues with our ATE server, and we suggest trying again after a few hours.

Please note that the solution might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to bulk auto translate some pages using WPML, but the process is not completing. I attempted to cancel the automated jobs and restart them, but the issue persists. I also tried translating just one page, but the problem remains. The issue can be seen at: hidden link

Symptoms:
The automatic translation process is stuck, showing 0/xx pages and continuously spinning without completing.

Questions:
Why is the automatic translation process stuck and not completing?
How can I resolve the issue of the translation process not progressing?

Hello,

Thanks, I just checked and it seems to work fine.

What I did is go to WPML > Translation Management> Send page for translation to myself, from WPML> Translation > Take and translate ,and it saves fine.

So I suspect there could be some difference in your staging vs live website as you mentioned in chat, if you can re-check with hosting.

Let me know how it goes.

Drazen

Hi,
I can also see it works on staging.
I asked Hosting, they say that i should try with cache enabled on staging. I did that, and it still works.

And then they asked me to turn off edge cache on live, because then the staging and live would be like the same. But it still don't work on live.

So i have no idea why.

Even when i disable all plugins in live, it don't work.

Also they say that cache is bypassed in backend by default.

Hello,

can you maybe provide me also FTP access to live website and permission to disable plugins and switch themes? Please make sure to create a backup, before doing any actions, just in case.

I can have further look and try to see what might be causing it.

Hello,

there seems to be an issue with the connection key between your website and our ATE server. I have fixed it and it should work fine.

On the other hand, we have an issue with ATE server at the moment, so I can not confirm it 100%.

Can you please try to re-translate some pages later today, in a few hours, and let us know if my fix did not help.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi there,

It kinda works, but not completely.

Just translated 5-6 pages, and then it got stuck.

And now it keeps saying 1 translation loading. I can't cancel it from the support-cancel-ATE jobs section.

And i don't know which page it is.

Can you delete some of the credit used?
it says like 140.000 credits used already, but it also counts all the failed ones it seems.

Hello,

1) Credits are not charged twice, if you have translated already something, it is loaded from translation memory on our side, even if not delivered on your side. So you should not have issue, if you think there is an issue we can open new ticket for you later and check it out there.

2) I see you have object cache enabled, please disable it and your security plugin while doing the translations, then you can enable it back again.

Then send the page for translation again via WPML > Translation Management.

Drazen
