Background of the issue:
I was trying to ensure that email notifications from Gravity Forms are translated correctly after upgrading from version 1.7.2 to 1.8.0 or any other 1.8.0+ version.

Symptoms:
After the upgrade, users are not receiving the translated version of email notification messages. Reverting back to version 1.7.2 resolves the issue.

Hi,

do you have a staging environment where I can take a look? I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT
-Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
-If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

This website is big with a complex setup. Please create a staging environment on your server to test it. I was very clear about the issue and it happens after upgrading to a specific version.

Hi,

the issue isn’t reproducible on my localhost. I’ve set up a sandbox environment for you to review the mail log directly:

Login: hidden link
Mail Log: hidden link (please note, there’s no SMTP service running)

Could you clarify how to reproduce the issue? I’ve translated the specific string, and the subject appears as translated, indicating that mail delivery for the secondary version is functioning as expected. Are you referring to a specific content field within the notification? Otherwise, it seems likely this issue may be specific to your environment.

The WP_MEMORY_LIMIT setting is too low, which could prevent the translation string from showing correctly. Although your PHP memory limit is set to 512MB, WordPress is only permitted to use 40MB.This is below the requirements for WPML and also doesn’t meet the recommendations for plugins like WooCommerce.

Best Regards,
Marcel
