Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate breadcrumbs on my WordPress site using WPML. The site is currently under development. I am specifically looking to translate parts of the URL like '/de/produkt/casual-note-bag/' where 'home' and 'shop' are not translated into German.
Symptoms:
I can't find where to set the translation for breadcrumbs. 'Home' and 'shop' are not translated in the URL.
Questions:
How can I translate breadcrumbs using WPML?
Can you provide a screenshot to help me find where to set the translation?
1. For Home string translation in breadcrumbs, please try to follow the below steps:
- Go to the WPML >> String Translation.
- Search for Home string and add the translation.
- You should be able to add the translation directly from here: hidden link
2. For Shop string translation in breadcrumbs, please try to follow the below steps:
- Go to the Pages >> All Pages.
- Open the secondary language shop page in Advanced Translation Editor.
- Translate the page title as you can see in the attached screenshot.
