Links are not somehow translatable in our clients site and what makes this especially strange is that sometimes the links appear in the editor as translatable, and sometimes they don’t.

For example, on our client’s live site the text “Kadence / Singlebtn” is translatable, but the link itself is not. However, in the same site’s development environment, the link does appear in the editor and can be translated. On the live site, the translation for the link occasionally appears, but then suddenly disappears from the editor again. Now the translations are missing from dev site also.

I tried googling for this issue and found these instructions: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-links/

However, in my site’s settings I do not see the “Translate Link Targets” option at all. Additionally, under the troubleshooting page settings, the following is shown with no value:
[WPML_Translate_Link_Target_Global_State] =>

I got those link fields for translation to show after emptying all the caches what I could find and after saving the original page multiple times two days ago. But today when I opened translation for a page, links are missing again.
What could be wrong with the site, and what can we do to fix this issue?

I already got help from AI for this problem on monday but now I need support from your team please.

Hello Harri,

Here is the ticket I mentioned earlier.

Please try the steps we discussed in the chat. If the issue reappears within the next 2–3 days, let me know and I will investigate further.

Kind regards,
Dražen
