Background of the issue:
Hello team, When I activate plugin site crashes. When I deactivate plugin site works but only single language. I have updated wpml, wordpress and php versions are up to date as well.

Symptoms:
Site crashes when WPML plugin is activated.

Questions:
How can I fix the issue of the site crashing when WPML is activated?

Hi Nukri.

I'm back with some things that I observed and I will share them below.

1. I see an error here:

Can you please check with your hosting provider to whitelist the following domains:

wpml.org
cdn.wpml.org
api.wpml.org
api.toolset.com
cloudfront.net

2. I also see another notice:

OTGS Installer, responsible for receiving automated updates for WPML and Toolset, requires the following PHP component(s) in order to function:cURL

cURL is not enabled it seems.

Please take a look here and make sure that the site follows all the requirements:

3. We have another warning here:

Multibyte String extension Not loaded - Multibyte String extension is required for WPML String Translation.

4. It would be great if you can downgrade the PHP version to maximum PHP 8.1 for now as anything over that version can create different issues or notices that you can see in the backend of the site

5. There also seems to be an issue with some code that was added to the child theme as you will see in one of the screenshots.

Can you please let me know after you are able to check all that?

PS: Regarding what you mentioned on the weekend (if there's a possibility for assistance via a call or remote session), please note that we can offer technical support only via a live chat session or a support ticket on our support forum.

We don't offer support via phone calls, video calls or emails.

Debugging technical issues usually takes a good amount of time and requires specific debugging tools.
