Background of the issue:
I have a group of products on my site hidden link that mostly use the same strings or paragraphs. Only a small portion of the text is different. I want to reuse translations to avoid translating the same string multiple times.

Symptoms:
I can't find a way to trigger the reuse of translations in WPML, so I don't have to translate the same string 20 times.

Questions:
How can I trigger the reuse of translations in WPML?

Hey there,

If I understand correctly you have created translations and the majority of he strings in the page you shared are being re used.

Are you currently using the Translate everything or mode?

What are your results if you go to WPML->Translation Management dashboard-> select a page that requires translation and send it for automatic translation ?

Assuming that this page includes content that is already translated and exists in your translation memory.

The way this will work is that you will use credits for anything that is not in the translaiton memory and anything that is pulled from the translation memory will not cost credits.

Let me know your results, please.

The translation memory in my case works after like 24 hours. I have 20+ products with almost the same description, most of the text is reused, only model specific texts are unique. So when I translate a product from those group, I have to wait like 24+ hours so the next time I open another product from this group shows already translated texts. I tried to wait 10 minutes - no luck. 1 hour - no luck. Hafl a day: 5-6 hours still no luck. It works after 24+ hours.

Btw, just to report something.
While using the new "Advanced" Translation Editor, it has lots of issues, but the one which drives me crazy is that when I press "Next Segment" - down arrow it scroll somewhere at the top of the page, while I want to scroll down so I can translate the next string.

Interesting, it should not take 24 hours...I could possibly see a delay if there are tons of products and this is the first time we are translating the whole site but not for just one product.

Would it be OK if I take a closer look.

Also, thank you for reporting the other item I will review as well.

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to test the issue.
(preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible)

**Before we proceed It is necessary to take FULL BACKUP of your database and your website. Providing us with access, you agree that a backup has been taken **

I often use the Duplicator plugin for this purpose: http://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.

NOTE: If access to the live site is not possible and the staging site does not exist please provide me with a duplicator package created with the duplicator plugin.

Thank you,
