Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate products that use 'wooCommerce Composite Products' and am experiencing issues with simple and variable products as well. When I translate any product, whether simple, variable, or composite, something goes wrong, and our entire site goes down. We also have 'WPC Grouped Product for WooCommerce (Premium)' installed and activated but are not using it at the moment. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
I expected to see a translated composite product, but instead, I got a partly translated composite product, and something is causing the Apache server to spike, leading to the site going down.

Questions:
Why does translating products cause the site to go down?
Is there a conflict with 'WPC Grouped Product for WooCommerce (Premium)' even though it's not in use?

Hi,

When translating products we get the following fatal error:

2025-11-05T12:39:47+00:00 Critical Uncaught InvalidArgumentException: item should be a Collection or an array or an object in /var/www/vhosts/pjama.eu/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/sitepress-multilingual-cms/vendor/wpml/fp/core/Obj.php:112

Hello,

To be able to investigate the problem, we need to replicate the issue on a clean installation.

I created a clean installation of WordPress, WooCommerce, WPML, and all necessary WPML add-ons.
You can access the WordPress dashboard using the link below:
hidden link

Kindly follow the steps below:

- Don't restore your site there.
- Install WooCommerce Composite Products and WPC Grouped Product for WooCommerce (Premium) if needed.
- Try to replicate the issue with minimal steps.
- Then let me know the steps to see the problem and reproduce it.

Best Regards,
Otto

Hi,

Thank you for this but the problem we are having is for our specific setup.

The problem occurs whenever we start translation of a product - it starts some kund of process that run untill everything breaks down.

Today we tried translating a single product and the same issue occured.

Wish you a lovely weekend!

Hello,

Thanks.

Is it possible for you to do this test?
I suggest you try this to help us identify if it might be a conflict with another plugin or theme that is causing the problem.
**IMPORTANT:** Please try this in a staging environment or at least with a backup of your site files and database before continuing.
Disable all plugins except WooCommerce and WPML-related and temporarily change the theme to a default WordPress such as Twenty Twenty-five.
Is the issue resolved with these settings? If so, please reactivate one by one to see which conflicts.

If the issue persists, I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue.
It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

The information you will enter is private, which means only you and I can see and have access to it.
Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I'll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site.
This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content.
Once the problem is resolved, I will delete the local site.

**IMPORTANT**
- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields, this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields.

Best Regards,
Otto
