[Resolved] WPResidence theme registration form issue
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client reported an issue where user types in the dropdown menu of the registration form were not appearing in languages other than the default one. This problem occurred after an update or change, despite previously functioning correctly. Solution: We resolved the issue by restoring the translations for the admin options, which should not have been translated. This adjustment ensured that the user type selections appeared correctly in all specified languages on the registration form. If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend checking if any recent updates or changes might have affected the translation settings. Additionally, ensure that the translations for admin options are correctly configured and not mistakenly translated.
Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum for further assistance.

I’ve installed and activated the theme and translated the necessary strings for it to work: hidden link
The footer categories issue mentioned at the beginning is also visible here, so the issue has been successfully replicated.
The other issue (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wpml-wpresidence-theme-registration-issues/?ref=wd
) seems to be working fine now on sandboxed theme - although I remember it used to work properly on my site as well, until it suddenly didn’t, possibly after an update or some change.

I’ve disabled all the related code in the functions.php file for now on immoteka.hr.
Thanks for your patience. I've translated the registration form using String Translation, and it works fine. Check out the attached screenshot. Is this what you're trying to achieve but it doesn't work on your Website?
Well, that’s not the issue - the actual issue is with the user types selection in the dropdown menu that I can choose from on the register part of "Login" - Link"Register here".
They don’t appear in any language other than the default one.
This used to work when we delivered the site to the client, but some update or something seems to have reset it.
I’ve attached a few screenshots:
1. Homepage – English – with selectable user types
2. Homepage – Croatian – no visible selectable user types
3. Homepage – German – no visible selectable user types
4. Backend – string translation for user types – same setup was used on the sandbox site
Thanks for your reply. Could you check the sandbox site and let me know if it's working there? I can see the user type selection when I switched to the German language, as shown in the attached screenshot. hidden link
Yes, I noticed that the other day when I set up the sandbox site, and I also mentioned it in my reply:
"The other issue (https://wpml.org/forums/topic/wpml-wpresidence-theme-registration-issues/?ref=wd

However, it somehow doesn’t work on my site - it used to work before, but at some point along the way, it just stopped.
I can see that there are some new WPML updates available on the sandbox site.
Maybe try updating and see if that’s what’s causing the issue.
Thanks for your reply. I will need access to your production site to check what's going on.

Once you have the archive file ready, kindly share the link with us. You can utilize platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar for file sharing, as the snapshot file might be large.

Thanks for your patience. Our 2nd Tier Support has reviewed the issue, and to resolve it, the translations for the admin options shown in the attached screenshot will need to be restored. These options are not meant to be translated.
