The accessibility checkers I have been complaining about the use of the 'role' attribute within the language switcher. Can you help with establishing how to fix this please?
Here is what I've found: Element has children which are not allowed: [role=none]
Required ARIA parents role not present: menu, menubar, group

Thanks for your patience. I've checked, and this is a known issue, and a fix for this is planned for inclusion in WPML version 4.9.

To the best of my knowledge, this version should be released as a beta version in a few weeks. And if things go right, the stable version will be released this month, January.

Unfortunately, there isn't any workaround available for this.
