This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was facing an issue where the Chinese translation of a page was not accessible. When attempting to review the translation from the WordPress Pages section, it redirected to a Review Comments page with no title. Additionally, clicking on the Chinese translation link in the WordPress editor led nowhere.
Solution:
We identified that the page was deleted from the database, but WPML still pointed to that non-existent page, causing the issue. To resolve this, we recommended the following steps:
1. Ensure you have a database backup if it's a live site.
2. Navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting.
3. Click on "Remove ghost entries from the translation tables."
4. Optionally, click on "Set Language Information" to ensure everything is in order.
After performing these steps on the staging site, the page was no longer translated into Chinese. We advised the client to re-translate the page, which should resolve the issue without incurring additional costs due to the translation memory if the same content was previously translated.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
