[Resolved] Problem with woocommerce product filter in each language (apart basic)
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is experiencing incorrect product quantities displayed next to the WooCommerce product filter in languages other than the default language on their website. Solution: To address this issue, follow these steps: - Navigate to Products -> Attributes. - Click "Configure terms" to access the "Kompatybilność" attribute terms. - Click on the number of products next to the problematic term to view all products in this term. - Select all products. - From the "Bulk Actions" dropdown menu, choose edit. - Change the status to "Publish" and update them.
If these steps do not resolve the issue or if the solution seems outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I have a problem with the WooCommerce product filter in each language (apart from the basic language) on my site hidden link. The product quantities next to the filter are incorrect. For example, it shows two products when the correct value is four. An example can be seen here: hidden link. I am following the documentation at https://wpml.org/forums/topic/woocommerce-color-filter-not-working-correctly-2/.
Symptoms:
The product quantities next to the WooCommerce product filter are incorrect in each language except the basic language.
Questions:
Why are the product quantities next to the WooCommerce product filter incorrect in each language except the basic language?
How can I fix the incorrect product quantities displayed by the WooCommerce product filter?
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
First of all, sorry for the late reply; it was due to a higher workload.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
Ok, I don't know why, but I tried this before and it didn't work. I don't know what exactly you did, but etraz one of the translations is missing (Switzerland) and I see a critical error when editing the translation 🙁
Not really. I see the language, but the translation on the page is wrong (part is Polish, part is English). Everything should be in German (except the currency).
I translated some of these strings via WPML-> String Translation. Please let me know how the "The product has no reviews" string and the cookie banner are added to the default language to check how they can translated.
Ok, I suggested restoring the database too soon. In the meantime, orders came to the store, and a colleague changed some things, and restoring the database from 6 a.m. is not the best idea if it is not necessary.
It will be easier to translate the forms. I will take care of it myself. However, the original problem is still not solved - on versions other than Polish and English it still shows incorrect quantities of products.
1) Can you write exactly what (or how) you refreshed the attributes? It's strange that I've done this many times and it doesn't work.
2) I still have a problem with the translation to Switzerland. And even with another translation - I just can't find the basic strings. For example this one below - it's translated to every language (except Swiss version), but I can't find it in the string translation. I tried to scan plugins, theme, find it in the admin translation panel and there's nothing.
This string shows up after adding a product to the cart.
Edit: if I tried to scan woocommerce .mo it's stopoing at keep bufforing at -134.
