This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
After updating WPML, unexpected paragraph breaks appeared in the translated version of a page, while the original language displayed correctly.
Solution:
First, ensure you have the latest WPML version by navigating to Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial and clicking the Check for Updates button. You should update to WPML 4.8.3 if not already done. Next, update the original page and resend it for translation. You might need to cancel or delete the previous translation job. This process resolved similar issues in our tests.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend opening a new support ticket. Additionally, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Background of the issue:
I updated the WPML today, and now suddenly a paragraph is shown with multiple breaks which is totally not needed. You can see the issue on this page: hidden link

The original language is showing correctly

Symptoms:
Translation is not shown correctly with unexpected paragraph breaks.

Questions:
Why are there unexpected paragraph breaks after updating WPML?
How can I fix the paragraph formatting issue?

I was able to reproduce the issue in a clean install with Bricks by copying and pasting the content from one of your pages. I am escalating this to our compatibilty and second tier for additional troubleshooting. I'll update here as soon as I have more information.

Is ther an update on when this issue will be resolved? I have a website that is waiting to go on production. Everything is ready except for the translation issue.

Our developers are currently working on this issue. In the meantime, the manual translation seemed to resolve the issue, so if you need to edit those translations manually until we have a permanent solution, that should work as a temporary workaround. I'll update here once I have more information.

Hi Tom, I have escalated this ticket to our 2nd tier support and am awaiting an update. The workaround of manually editing the translated page should allow you to make the site live so that this issue does not postpone that further.

As soon as I hear back from our 2nd tier support, I will update you here.

We have just released a WPML update. Please go to Plugins -> Add new -> Commercial and click the"Check for Updates" button. Then make sure you are using WPML 4.8.3.

Next, try updating the original page, and then resending the page to translation. You may have to cancel or delete the previous translation job. Once it is resent, please let me know if the paragraphs are now showing formatted correctly or if you continue to see line breaks. On our end, after testing, it was resolved.

Looking forward to hearing if this resolves the issue for you.
