This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client needed to know what happens when the deadline for translation jobs is approaching and whether translators can continue to work after the deadline.
Solution:
We provided two options for extending the deadline for translation jobs:
1. Cancel the jobs and resend them for translation to any translator.
2. Resend the jobs for translation to the same translators, which should extend the deadline automatically.

We advised the client to try these solutions and to let us know if they need further assistance. If the provided solution is not relevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we recommend opening a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you need further assistance, please contact us in the WPML support forum.

Hi.
We have a few translators working on translations jobs. Now they are getting close to deadline today / tomorrow. What will happen after that?

Can they continue to work?

Kind regards

Hi there.

I created a custom search URL for you so that you can quickly find the existing support tickets that are based on the same topics and that already contain solutions shared by my colleagues:
hidden link

This way, you might find the solution faster and we might spend less time on this ticket.

Please take a look over the first two results.

Practically, in order to extend the period, you have to resend the jobs for translation.

I hope that you will find this information helpful.

Hello there,

You have two options to renew the deadline.

#1 You cancel the jobs and send them again for translation to any translator
#2 You sent the jobs for translation again to the same translators and the deadline should be extended as a consequence

Please give it a try and let us know,

Mateus

Hi.
Deadline is now met. But the translators reported that they can still translate.
So do we need to do above? I dont mind if deadline is warning. Aslong as they can keep working 🙂

Kind regards

Hello Mathias,

Since they got the job started, they'll be able to finish it. It is safe for them to finish their job.

Re-sending it to them for translation as well won't cause any loss in their work, but since they're able to continue with the translation that proved not to be needed.

Thank you,

Mateus
