Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and I uploaded all my files, including ACF fields, tags, and body content, in Slovak. I want to switch the language to SK-SK without having to re-upload the files.
Symptoms:
When I try to duplicate content and edit or re-upload files to English, it says the page content has been updated and needs to be re-translated to SK-SK.
Questions:
Is there a way to switch the language of my files to SK-SK without re-uploading?
Can I duplicate, export to English, and re-import all English files using import/export all pro?
Are there any workarounds to avoid re-uploading files?
To ensure the quickest and most accurate support, please provide your debug information so I can look at some of your configurations. We have an excellent article on how to locate it here: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/.
I am not sure I am getting the issue. How did you upload your content? In which language was the content? Which language did WPML assign to it?
I was told it was uploaded into english by mistake or something happened during upload where it reverted the files. I believe it was it was set to upload to english. I am uploading the debug information.
Thanks. Can you please elaborate on what content was imported and how (the specific steps)? Is it possible for you to revert to the previous state and re-import the files?
Not related to the issue, but from the debug information provided, I can see that WPML and its addons are outdated. Can you please update them? ❌ Please make a full website backup before proceeding ❌
Best Regards,
Otto
