Background of the issue:
I am trying to set the formality for auto translations per language pair using DeepL in WPML. Specifically, I want to set French (FR) to use formal language and German (DE) to be informal. However, the WPML settings only allow me to set this globally.

Symptoms:
I can't seem to set the formality preference per language pair for DeepL. The WPML settings only let me set it globally.

Questions:
How can I set the formality preference per language pair in WPML using DeepL?
Is there a way to configure different formality settings for different languages in WPML?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us.

While you wait for my colleague to take over the ticket, let me try to help you with the issue quickly.

Go to Plugins > Add New > Commercial > Click “Check for updates" and update WPML plugins to latest versions.

Please make sure to create a backup, before doing any actions, just in case.

Then there should a button to edit formality and choose different for each language.

Regards,
Drazen

Hi Drazen, thank-you for teaching me the better way to get WPML to update. As I was going the normal plugin updater route and it all looked up to date.
