This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Issue:
When you try to translate categories on your site using WPML, you notice that the categories display an incorrect total number of products when you switch to English.
Solution:
We have found that the problem occurs because the products are not translated, and the default language products are displayed instead. If you wish to use the translated categories/filters, you will need to translate the products.

Hello,

I have checked and it seems the product is not translated, but showing the default language product in 2nd language. Then that is expected since translated taxonomies do not have any translated product assigned to it.

In short, you need to translate products if you wish to use translated taxonomies/filters.
