Background of the issue:
I am working on a site under development and trying to set up a redirect when visiting a WPML translated .nl page. Specifically, I want to ensure that visiting brandonsmeets.nl does not redirect to brandonsmeets.eu.
Symptoms:
There is a short redirect from brandonsmeets.nl to brandonsmeets.eu, which prevents Google Ads from functioning on the website.
Questions:
Is it possible that WPML causes this issue?

Hi,
Please go to WPML-> languages-> Browser language redirect section and disable this option.
After that, please clear the site's cache, resave the permalinks, and check the Dutch domain.

Hello,
I disabled this option but whenever I go to the dutch domain, I still get a redirect to the .eu.
I added screenshots, so you can see at first the website loads in the .nl and than it loads the .eu and than it goes back to the .nl

Please let me know how to reproduce the issue. I tried the language switcher and typing the URL directly, and both worked correctly. Kindly check this video. (hidden link)

Hi,
I saw in the video you started at brandonsmeets.eu
I tried to recreate it, also used a incognito tab and saw there is a difference if I type:
brandonsmeets.eu and click on the dutch flag that works correctly
hidden link - here everything works correctly
But if I type:
hidden link - here it goes to brandonsmeets.eu
or just
brandonsmeets.nl - here it goes to brandonsmeets.eu
So the last two are going wrong, could you test if you also have this?

Hi,
Yeah, I see the same behavior. Please follow these steps to check if the issue persists in a minimal environment.
1- Deactivate all the plugins except WPML CMS.
2- Switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.
If the issue is gone, activate them one by one to see which one is causing an interaction issue.
❌ Please backup your database before performing the above test ❌
Also, please contact your host provider and check if there is a server redirection because I see a redirection rule in the network tab of the Google dev tools. (Kindly check the attached screenshot)
