Background of the issue:
I wanted to change the translation for an ACF URL link field, but this field was locked and had the property 'copy' instead of 'translated'. To unlock the field, I changed all the field groups to 'translate as expert'.
Symptoms:
Now, in many posts where I used the URL link field, the translation is showing in the WPML editor, but on the front end, it still displays the link in the original language and not the translated link. Additionally, the translation is missing in WPML, although it was there before.
Questions:
Why is the translated link not displaying on the front end?
Why is the translation missing in WPML when it was there before?
