Background of the issue:
I am trying to resolve an issue where WPML is overwriting some Spanish content with Portuguese, even though the automatic translation is disabled, the WPML Advanced Editor is disabled, and the translation queue is empty. The issue is intermittent and occurs on certain pages from time to time. When viewing revisions, the user who made the change is hidden. Even restoring the previous version, the content is again overwritten by WPML. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link. I expected to see: hidden link. Instead, I got: hidden link.
Symptoms:
WPML is overwriting Spanish content with Portuguese intermittently, even with automatic translation and WPML Advanced Editor disabled. The translation queue is empty, and the user who made changes is hidden in revisions. Restoring previous versions does not resolve the issue.
Questions:
Why is WPML overwriting Spanish content with Portuguese despite settings?
How can I prevent WPML from overwriting content after restoring previous versions?

Could you please create a new page, translate it, and check if the issue occurs?
If the problem persists, it would be very helpful to have access to a staging site with a copy of your site. This way, I can investigate the issue without affecting your production site.
The problem persists. This morning I updated the WPML version to v4.8.0.
It fixes the following issue: Fixed an issue with receiving machine translation jobs when object caching is enabled.
I'm monitoring it, and if the problem persists, we'll consider creating this environment.

Please create a staging site so we can safely run some tests.
Once it’s ready, kindly deactivate all plugins except the WPML ones and check if the issue can be reproduced.
Let me know once the staging site is set up, so we can continue troubleshooting.
