Background of the issue:
Hello, I am trying to synchronize translations between Crowdin and WPML. The translation status in Crowdin is 'Done', but WPML shows it as 'In progress' under WPML->Translation Jobs. I clicked on 'Start Batch Sync', which resulted in 'Batch sync finished successfully' (hidden link), but the download links do not appear (hidden link). The xliff file downloaded from Crowdin is identified by WPML as having format issues, making it impossible to import the translation manually. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link. I expected to see this: hidden link, but instead, I got this: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The translation status in WPML remains 'In progress' despite being 'Done' in Crowdin. The 'Start Batch Sync' action completes successfully, but download links do not appear. The xliff file from Crowdin is considered incorrectly formatted by WPML (if import is attempted to be done manually).

Questions:
How can I resolve the synchronization issue between Crowdin and WPML?
Why is the xliff file from Crowdin considered incorrectly formatted by WPML?

Hello,

This is Ahmed Mamdouh from the translation proxy team and I'll help you with this ticket.

The XLIFF you are trying to upload is totally different than the XLIFF sent to Crowdin. First, all the Trans-units IDs are different than the original XLIFF file as shown in the attached XLIFF.

There are some added tags that corrupt the XLIFF file format, as shown in the attached screenshot.

Please make sure that the translated file is the exact same format as the XLIFF file you received originally.

Best regards,
Ahmed Mamdouh.
