Problem:
After updating WPML plugins, the client noticed that the language filter was missing, and all content was displayed without being filtered by language (DE, NL, FR, etc.). The WPML Flag filter, which should appear in the top right, was not visible, and there was a bug with the filter flag images.
Solution:
We reviewed the client's site and initially did not observe the reported issue as the language switcher was present. However, upon further investigation, it was discovered that a conflict with an Advanced Ads plugin was causing the issue with the WPML Flag filter. We recommend checking for any plugin updates or conflicts if you're experiencing similar issues. Additionally, disabling the conflicting plugin temporarily or seeking an update from the plugin provider might resolve the issue.
