Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. Could you please try to follow the suggestions from this thread: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/elementor-form-not-translated/#post-15079461 and see if this resolves the issue.

If the issue persists, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

Your next answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.

=== Please backup your database and website ===

✙ I would need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is essential.

✙ Please provide me with the sign up form page link where I can see the issue.

Thank you

Hi Noman!
Thank you, I added the XML config to the WPML settings, and now I can translate the default value as I was hoping. I'm just wondering: is the XML in the linked thread exactly what I need, or does it contain fields I actually don't need? Or maybe it doesn't have all the fields?
Thanks!

Great to hear it worked.

The XML from that thread is safe to use as it simply tells WPML to register Elementor form fields for translation. It won’t cause any problems even if your form doesn’t use all of them.

We only added this line to make the default value translatable:

<field type="Form: Field value" editor_type="LINE">field_value</field>

If you want to compare it with the default Elementor XML, you can check it here: hidden link

Thank you
