Hi,

You are right, a lot of translations are in the database and following your pointers shows the translations.

However, it is still very messy and incomplete. A bunch of strings are not translated and has to be reviewed by hand. I noticed that in some blogposts. Ok, I am able to translate them by hand using Google Translate. The reason I gave WPML a chance again was that WPML claims to translate without hassle and with much better results than Google translate or what ever competing plugin. What to do about that?
WPML can't expect from its customers to review all and every page, post or product by hand.....

Second, the products are still a big mess. I translated the Single Product Template to french and German but the pages are shown with the default Woocommerce template and without the header. The header image is in the template so that's to be expected when the Kadence Woo-template is not loaded.

Next are not all images linked correctly in the variations. The main variation image is shown but the gallery images for each and every variation are not. They remain the same as the default product gallery.

Header images (from Kadence elements) are not showing on translated pages, posts, archive pages or products. Short: nowhere.

Sadly, the history repeats itself. Years ago I purchased a lifetime subscriptions but I abandoned WPML due to very poor performance.

I paid 217.80 € for this ultimate poor result.....

Please WPML get your act together and provide me with a working solution. I am about to loose my client over it.

And Kor, believe me, it is not personal. I'm just frustrated. Working two days now to get it fixed and still no good result.

That would be very nice.
Please also note that not all products are shown in their translated page.
I noticed that a lot of them are not translated yet.

I will try translate them with my remaining credits.

Hey Kor,

There's a lot more failing in the 'products area'.
When selecting the category Snijplanken (Dutch) in the Winkel (Dutch for shop) you can see how the product panes are supposed to be. When selecting french or german on that page you can see the product panes are changing. The wrong kadence element is displayen in my opinion. The displayed element is the one used on the homepage.

Next, when switching to the french language the header image is displayed twice.
Seems a extra template part is invoked. I reviewed the settings briefly and they seems to be ok.
As I am very busy atm I might not be able to respond immediately but I will try to do that as quick as possible.

It looks like a compatibility issue with the product variation images and I need more time to check on this, so I've split the ticket here https://wpml.org/forums/topic/product-category-page-is-broken/ for a follow up.

As for this ticket, I will keep it open while I investigate this further.

Hi Kor,
After translating or updating the products I noticed that the main variation image is ok but the image gallery for each variation is faulty.....

Next to that (just to inform you) I got another email from my wordpress setup that there was a fatal technical error. And as far as I tell it is wpml string translation again.

Souldn't we warn the devs about that?

Thanks for your reply. That error is coming from the "Theme and plugins localization" in WPML > Theme and plugins localization and I will check on that since I have the FTP access.

As for the missing variation images, I'm still checking on this, and I might have to escalate this to our 2nd Tier Support for further investigation. My apologies for the inconvenience. I'm doing my best to assist you further with this.
