Background of the issue:
I am using the WCFM plugin to add products, but in the secondary language, when I add a product, it redirects me to a dynamic link like this: 'hidden link' and a 'Not Found' page appears. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
Some links are not being translated. I got a non-existent link and was taken to a 'Not Found' page.

Questions:
Why does adding a product in the secondary language redirect to a 'Not Found' page?
How can I ensure the dynamic link redirects correctly without showing a 'Not Found' page?

Hello,

First, please take note of the following known issue and make sure to apply the suggested workaround:
https://wpml.org/errata/wcfm-store-manager-sidebar-links-redirect-to-home-when-wpml-is-enabled/

The compatilbity code for making plugins like WCFM functional with WPML is created on the author's side. We can only give recommendations, but we have no direct influence on the behavior of such third-party plugins.

I can offer a WPML Test Site on which you could install "WCFM Ultimate" and try to recreate the issue, so that we can take a closer look.

Would this be possible?

Best regards
Andreas

Do you think upgrading the auto-translate package could solve the problem?
The option I mentioned has been enabled from the beginning.

For now, please wait to activate automatic translation until we have sorted out this issue.

I do understand correctly that the issue occurs if users add products on the Frontend in a second language?

I would like to offer to take a closer look and request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to the website to investigate the issue further.

You can find the required fields below the comments section when you log in to leave the next reply. The information you provide is private, meaning only you and I can see and access it.

IMPORTANT
Please be sure to back up your website and database before granting us access.
If you can't see the "wp-admin / FTP" fields, your post and website login credentials will be set to "PUBLIC." DO NOT publish the data unless you see the required wp-admin / FTP fields.

I may need to install a plugin called "All In One WP Migration" to create a copy of the website so I can investigate the issue further.

However, I would also be very grateful if you could provide a staging site or a copy of the website from your server for this purpose.

If you have any questions about creating such a staging site, you can consult your hosting provider. Please note that WPML must also be registered on this staging site at https://wpml.org/account/websites/.

If you are unable to provide such a copy of the website for testing, please let me know on this ticket.

The private reply form looks like this:

I cannot provide you direct access, but I can arrange a meeting and share my system with you through AnyDesk or Google Meet

My apologies, but we can not offer any direct meetings on this forum. Further, I need full access to the site and server to be able to assist you.

I have created a WPML test site and would like you to try to recreate the issue.

One-Click-Login:

Note that you might need to add the latest version of "WCFM - WooCommerce Frontend Manager - Ultimate" to be able to recreate the issue. Do not migrate your whole website to this test site. We simply need a site with minimal setup where the issue is replicable using a simple example.

Please leave me a comment once you are done with this task.

Thank you for the support.
However, there is a difference between the dashboard you created and the one I have.
In my dashboard, the auto-translate feature is enabled and I also converted the links from the settings.
In your dashboard, I did not face this issue because the links are not being translated.

Is the problem that part of the links were translated while the other part was not?
And in this case, is it possible to revert the link translations?

I will send screenshots of the settings I configured.
There is a button called 'Scan now and adjust links', and I clicked it

Is the problem that part of the links were translated while the other part was not?

- Yes, a content may be translated automatically, while the content that you are linking to from this content has not yet been translated into a second language.

At WPML > Settings, you will find a section for "Adjusting link targets" afterwards translation, but I am afraid that this will only work from site's default language into other languages.

I would suggest in this case that once the content that you are linking to has been translated and published. You try to edit the original product and save it again so that WPML can update the translation.

I have now enabled "Translate Everything Automatically" on the test site, in case we might need to investigate further. Please give it a try again to recreate the issue.
