This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues where your ACF fields seem to be translated but are stuck in a queue, and the progress notice remains visible despite the sync seemingly completing.
Solution:
We recommend checking if the number of sync fields is decreasing and if it just takes time to finish. Please keep the tab open until it is finished. If the issue persists, follow these steps:
1. Log in to your database.
2. Locate the table:

icl_background_tasks

.
3. Delete all entries from this table.
This action should remove the stuck notice and allow WPML to reset the sync state. Please ensure to create a backup before making any changes.

This solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Additionally, the ACF fields seem to be translated in the background but are stuck in some sort of queue. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Hello,

please check if the number of sync fields is in the process, continues to lower the number and just taking a bit time to finish, if so please leave opened tab until it is finished.

In some cases, the actual sync completes correctly, but the progress notice (the animated gear and percentage) remains visible due to a background task not clearing properly.

To fix this, please follow these steps:

1. Log in to your database
2. Locate the table: icl_background_tasks
3. Delete all entries from this table

This should remove the stuck notice and allow WPML to reset the sync state.

Please make sure to create a backup, before doing any actions, just in case.
