This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client reported a delay in the automatic translation updates for their product descriptions. The English version of the product description was not updated even after seven days since the original content was updated.
Solution:
1. We identified that the translation might have gotten stuck. We made changes to the page title and retranslated the page, which resolved the issue.
2. We suggested checking for any plugin conflicts or server-related issues that might be causing the delay.
3. We recommended updating all WPML plugins to the latest version after ensuring a backup is in place. This can be done by navigating to WP > Plugins > Add New > Commercial Tab, selecting the WPML plugins, and updating them.
4. We provided steps to manually resync the translations:
- Edit the primary language page and click on update.
- Allow the system to resync the English translation and show a review translation option.
- Review the English translations and click "Accept Translations".
- Now, editing the English language page should be possible.
If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
