We built a custom URL structure for our post type Schools.
This page: hidden link
Has an alternate link as hidden link (and this is what is indexed on Google)
So with /school-types/ instead of /schools/. But both links are accessible. We would like to have indexed only /schools/ with alternates and canonical fixed.
I managed to fix the canonical with Rank Math support, but for the alternate link they suggested me to contact WPML support.
Welcome to the WPML support forum. To help speed up the support process, I've enabled a private message for submitting the debug information for this support ticket. Please follow these initial debugging steps: https://wpml.org/faq/provide-debug-information-faster-support/
In short:
- Go to "WPML > Support > Debug Information" (link)
- Copy the Debug Information from there.
- Find the private field I activated and paste that information.

Now regarding your question, could you please explain me how come you have two different URLs pointing to the same content? I don't think it's the case here.
I quickly checked the source code and I see the following CSS classes for the 'body':
- URL: hidden link
Here we're looking at an archive from the post type 'schools'.
- URL: hidden link
archive tax-school-types term-language-schools
Here we are looking at an archive page from the taxonomy 'school-types' for the term 'language-schools'.
Also, on the frontend you will also notice that the banner used are a bit different (just to confirm that you're actually not looking at the same page with to different URLs).
Having said that, you're right, hidden link shouldn't have hidden link as the alternate URL.
I don't have your debug info file yet, but if you're using an SEO plugin such as Yoast SEO, you should be able to modify that URL manually.
