This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: You are unable to save a translated string in Elementor, even when copying the text exactly from the original. This issue persists across multiple pages. Solution: We recommend editing the page using Elementor in the default language. Here's how you can do it: 1. Open the page in Elementor using the default language. You can access the editor via this link: Elementor Editor 2. Replace the problematic string with a different one and update the page. 3. Attempt to update the translation again to see if the issue persists.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, please open a new support ticket. We also highly recommend checking related known issues at WPML Known Issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

I have an issue with translating one string - even if I copy the same text from the original, with the same formatting, it won't let me save it.
I deleted caches, still doesn't work.
Can you help me how to fix it?
I have it on many pages.
Thank you
Kind Regards
Lena
Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.
I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) Preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.
Your answer will be private, meaning only you and I can access it.
❌ Please backup your database and website ❌
✙ I need your permission to deactivate and reactivate the plugins and themes and change site configurations. This is also why the backup is critical.
✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.
"Change the problematic string with another one" - it is not a solution for WPML translated manager, right? How could I change it if I need to save the formatting of string?
Thanks for your reply. I was able to edit the page using Elementor. I just added an empty space and deleted it for the problematic string. After that, I updated the page and its translation, which worked correctly.
Please check if the translation works correctly. (hidden link)
It's great to hear that the issue is fixed. 🙂 Please don't hesitate to open a new ticket if you face any other issues. We are always happy to help you.
oh, sorry, now I see, that if the translation was started and I changed the string it doesn´t always change it in the translation which was started. What should I do?
If the translation job is in progress, please go to WPML-> Translation Management-> Jobs, cancel the in-progress job, update the page in the default language, and update the translation.
