This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client updated a number in a sentence on the original page and expected to see only one segment needing adjustment in the WPML Advanced Editor. Instead, they found that the translation of half the translated segments on the page disappeared.
Solution:
We suggested that the issue might be related to how the original content was created. If the text was part of the same Block in the Block Editor or the same widget of a page builder, the observed behavior would be expected. To prevent this from happening, we recommend not placing all the text in one block or text widget. Instead, create one block or widget for each paragraph.

I am trying to:
I changed one number in one sentence on the original page with the source language and I wanted to update the language translation of the segment in question.
Link to a page where the issue can be seen:

I expected to see:
I expected to see only one segment needing adjustment in the WPML Advanced Editor

Instead, I got:
The translation of half the translated segments on the page disappeared. I have reinstated the translation, but I'm very concerned about putting in a lot of work to redo work already done.
This happened yesterday.

Hello,

This depends on how your original content is created.

If, for example, you are using the Block Editor and all your text is part of the same Block, then this behavior would be expected.

Could this be the case?

Best regards
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

What we use is Elementor. It’s likely that’s the case.
Would you have a recommendation on how not to lose work?

Thanks!

The workaround would be to not place all the text in one text widget.

Instead, create one widget for each paragraph.
