This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was facing an issue where the Chinese translation of a page was not accessible. When attempting to review the translation from the WordPress Pages section, it redirected to a Review Comments page with no title. Additionally, clicking on the Chinese translation link in the WordPress editor led nowhere.
Solution:
We identified that the page was deleted from the database, but WPML still pointed to that non-existent page, causing the issue. To resolve this, we recommended the following steps:
1. Ensure you have a database backup if it's a live site.
2. Navigate to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting.
3. Click on "Remove ghost entries from the translation tables."
4. Optionally, click on "Set Language Information" to ensure everything is in order.
After performing these steps on the staging site, the page was no longer translated into Chinese. We advised the client to re-translate the page, which should resolve the issue without incurring additional costs due to the translation memory if the same content was previously translated.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. For page hidden link, I'm using automatic translation for Japanese, Portuguese, and Simplified Chinese. My Japanese and Portuguese translations work fine, but the Chinese version is not accessible. If I try to review the translation from the Pages section of WordPress, I'm taken to the Review Comments page for a page with No Title. If I open the page using the WordPress editor and click on the Chinese translation in the Translation box on the right side of the screen, the link goes nowhere. I've tried making a small modification on the page to force a new translation, but that didn't fix the problem.

I recorded a video showing the problem. Here's the DropBox link: hidden link

(Your form asks if I have a screencast to share but doesn't let me upload a video)

I tried resolving this with Maiya and the problem persists.

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support forum.

Thanks for the screencast. From what I can see, the page itself is not being created correctly, and it looks like something might be inconsistent in the database.

To confirm this, I need to check the database directly to see whether the page exists and whether all the required fields and records are present.

For this, I will need temporary access to your site. I would also like to temporarily install the Adminer plugin so I can inspect the database tables more easily. I hope this is fine with you.

Please provide temporary WP-Admin and FTP access. You will find the required private fields below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information shared there will only be visible to you and me.

Hi,

Thanks, I got the details.

I saw the page was deleted from the database but WPML was still pointing to that page in the database cuasing this issue.

Generally, all the records are deleted when deleting the page but if some clean up plugin/code or manual DB clean up is done then WPML records are left in the database.

For this, there is a very simple solution
- In case of a live site, make sure you have DB backup.
- Go to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting
- Click "Remove ghost entries from the translation tables."
- Then click "Set Language Information" (Not required, but good to run)

I have done this on your staging site, and now I see the page is not translated into Chinese. Please translate this page now, and it should be fine. There should be no cost due to translation memory if the same content was already translated using ATE.

Thanks
