Background of the issue:
I am trying to access the ATE in a post of CPT Customer/Client. I also attempted to clear an ACF field in the main language, but the previously translated content remains in the target languages. If I change the content, it is also correctly translated/changed in the target languages. Here is the link to the page where the issue can be seen: hidden link.

Symptoms:
ATE is throwing an error: "Unable to retrieve job details." The ACF field is empty in the main language but retains the old value in target languages.

Questions:
Why is the ATE unable to retrieve job details?
Why does the ACF field retain old values in target languages despite being cleared in the main language?

Thank you for providing the credentials.

Regarding the ACF field, please check the following references:
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/i-deleted-an-acf-group-but-am-still-the-fields-in-the-editor/
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/old-acf-fields-still-visible-in-wpml-translation-editor/

This issue has already been escalated to our developers.

In the meantime, you will need to delete the field from the database as well to ensure it no longer appears in the Translation Editor.

Hey,

my problem is not that the acf field itself is deleted, just the value from the field. I want to keep the field but for the specific post i emptied the field. The value still persists in secondary languages.

Greetings

Ah, ok. I understand now that you deleted the ACF field. Sorry about that, and thank you for clarifying.

I’m unable to access the field group.

Maybe the issue is that the field doesn’t allow null values, because when I add something to the field, it opens the translation editor.

Could you please check the field settings?

Hey,

it's a WYSIWYG field, there is no option to not allow / allow NULL, here is the json of the field:

{
"key": "field_67a60024bd9a3",
"label": "Benutzerdefinierter Inhalt",
"name": "custom_content",
"aria-label": "",
"type": "wysiwyg",
"instructions": "",
"required": 0,
"conditional_logic": 0,
"wrapper": {
"width": "",
"class": "",
"id": ""
},
"default_value": "",
"allow_in_bindings": 0,
"tabs": "all",
"toolbar": "full",
"media_upload": 1,
"delay": 0,
"wpml_cf_preferences": 2
},

Maybe it's related to the ATE not working? It still doesn't load and throws "Unable to retrieve job details." But only on the client post type.

Greetings

Hi there!

The issue only occurs when the field is empty.

To investigate further, could you please grant me permission to install the Check Conflicts plugin? This will allow me to safely deactivate plugins for testing without affecting your live site.

If no plugin conflict is found, I will escalate the issue to our second-tier support team for a deeper analysis.
