This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client has a website with thousands of WooCommerce products that were duplicated in other languages rather than being translated. The client is considering using prepaid credits for automatic translation and is unsure about the workflow for translating existing product duplicates.
Solution:
If you're experiencing a similar situation, we recommend going to WPML > Translation Management, selecting all the products you wish to translate, and choosing "Get Translations" from the menu. When you do this, WPML will detect that there are existing duplicates and will prompt you to confirm if you want to overwrite the existing content with the new translations. There is no need to delete the duplicate pages before starting the automatic translation process.
Please note that this solution might not apply to your case if it's outdated or not relevant to your specific situation. We highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If this solution does not resolve your issue, please open a new support ticket with us.
